Frank W. Abagnale Announced as Keynote Speaker
APT US&C are MMTA are pleased to announce that our keynote speaker will be Frank W. Abagnale. Mr. Abagnale is the acclaimed subject of the book, movie and Broadway play "Catch Me if You Can" which tells the story of his time as one of the world's most famous con men. His story was the inspiration for the 2002 film starring Leonardo DeCaprio as Mr. Abagnale and Tom Hanks as the FBI agent trying to catch him.
Mr. Abagnale is now one of the world's most respected authorities on forgery, embezzlement, and secure documents. Mr. Abagnale will be giving his ""The Art of the Steal" fraud seminar as well as telling his life story.
The 51st Annual Conference is a joint conference with the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Association (IMTA), and we are pleased to be partnering with them on the 2016 Conference.
The 2016 conference will focus on three program tracks: investment management, cash management and technology. There will be general sessions, breakouts and workshops focusing on these topics. In addition, the Certified Public Funds Investment Manager (CPFIM) and Advanced Certified Public Funds Investment Manager (ACPFIM) training and testing will be offered, and the popular Cash Handling Workshop will be offered. The additional trainings can be taken without registering for the rest of the conference.
