The 50th Annual Conference of the Association of Public Treasurers of the US & Canada will be held at the Hilton Chicago, Chicago, IL, on August 16-18, 2015. The 50th Annual
Conference is a joint conference with the Illinois Municipal Treasurers Association (IMTA), and we are pleased to be partnering with them in this anniversary year for the organization.
Our conference theme is APT US&C in the Windy City: Celebrating 50 Years of Keeping Public Treasurers in the Loop, and our 2015 conference will continue our tradition of
offering outstanding educational opportunities, certifying treasury skills, networking, and professional education opportunities to earn continuing education credits and CPFA points.
At the 2015 APT US&C Conference, participants will develop an understanding of different investment strategies to maximize returns for their municipality’s or other entity’s public funds;
identify current types of fraud being committed and how to prevent fraud; discover new technologies for use in the public treasury industry; and understand current economic trends and their impact on investments.
The 2015 conference will include general sessions, breakouts and workshops focusing on topics that include investment management, cash management, banking, debt management, technology and up to
date information on economic trends, agency oversight and fiscal policy. In addition, Certified Public Funds Investment Manager (CPFIM) and Advanced Certified Public Funds Investment
Manager (ACPFIM) training and testing will be offered.
Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on
